Hazel Elizabeth Barron

Hazel Elizabeth Barron was born on January 26th 2019, died March 25th 2024. Hazel is the cherished daughter of Robert and Elizabeth Barron. Hazel was born in Holyoke Massachusetts. She attended Little Futures Pre-School at the West Springfield Boys and Girls Club, and is a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Springfield. Hazel is survived by her parents who reside in Holyoke Massachusetts. Her maternal Grandparents Dean and Patricia Benedict from Hastings Michigan, her paternal Grandparents John and Karla Barron of West Springfield Massachusetts, Aunt Dana Dow (Barron), Uncle Gary Dow, Aunt Meredith Benedict (Rathkamp), her cousins, Taylor Dow, Lauren Dow, Ven (Meghann) Benedict, Joshua Benedict, Noah Fletcher, Ian Benedict, and Eli Benedict, and many Great Aunts, Uncles, and cousins from New Jersey and Michigan. Hazel is predeceased by her Uncle Steve Benedict and her Aunt Heather Jo Benedict. From the very start Hazel was the loud, happy, shake-it-up, feel it deep, changemaker; always on the go. Intensely curious and observant.  She loves to sing, dance, and play every moment of her life. Hazel loves learning: making crafts, practicing her letters, math, and Ninja Warrior Club. Hazel is an Aquarius to the max: swimming, bubble baths and jumping in muddy puddles. Hazel made friends everywhere she went and touched many lives. We will forever remember her as the magic in our lives, our little bald baby. A service will be held to celebrate her life at Barry J Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street Holyoke, MA 01040 on Monday April 1st at 10 am. A short service will follow. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Hazel’s honor. Robert and Elizabeth plan to forward proceeds between West Springfield Boys and Girls Club and Trinity United Methodist Church in Springfield.
